An engineer, an artist, and an ultra runner walk into a bar.

This website was born out of a desire find a forum for media that prizes the noise-free communication that I believe we have lost in the last decade. I'm not here to sell you anything, I actually don't want to steal your attention, and I'm not sure how hard I will even work to drive people to this space. That said, you're here now and I want to explain the background that will help you understand who I am, where I've been, and how I am moving forward.

Once, in a galaxy, far, far away...

Just kidding.

As a child of the 80's who took well school across the board, I was swept into the movement to increase the number of women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). To this day I am thankful for the opportunity that came from the initiative, yet I know it came at the price of forsaking the possibility of creative study in my youth.

In my site bio, I mention that I paused my career to immerse myself in passions beyond the narrow focus of engineering. That break, which I credit for setting my life on fire, can be broken into three distinct time periods:
